We all know how mesmerizing and beautiful Egyptian Queen Cleopatra was. She was one of the most beautiful women ever known in history. Queen C was known for her glowing radiant skin and shiny silky hair. Thankfully since her 13 beauty recipes were documented we are also able to get her seductive glamour. Below are her beauty secrets revealed!
Queen C soaked in a honey rose milk bath to get soft skin. Those ingredients are natural exfoliators that naturally remove dead skin leaving you with silky smooth skin. She added rose petals which left her with a fresh sweet smell. All you have to do is add 2 cups of milk and ½ cup of honey to your bath along with a few rose petals!
I personally added organic rose water to get that fresh smell. After her bath, she applied her favorite fragrant essential oils: rose, cypress, neroli, and myrrh. Those smells are truly sensational.
Cleopatra had shiny hair that she treated with castor oil and honey. Simply mix even parts of the two ingredients and soak your hair with it on damp hair. After a few weeks, you will see amazing results.
Cream and honey are two ingredients that she used to keep her face looking youthful and nourished. Combine the two into a bowl and apply using a face mask brush or apply using clean hands. Leave on for 10 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. This is best used during the winter season or after being exposed to a lot of sun during the summer season. She always followed this with almond oil as we know almond oil contains mandelic acid, which is an ingredient found in chemical peels to keep face looking youthful.
Cleopatra loved to keep her skin radiant by also using an oatmeal body cleanse. She added oatmeal with warm water which she used to gently exfoliate her skin. She believed soaps are harsh on the skin and this was a better way to keep her skin soft and moisturized as we know oatmeal is known for its nourishing and moisturizing qualities.
This is the best natural way to get rid of flaky dull skin. Queen C mixed sea salt with olive oil and one of her favorite essential oils. I simply added lavender oil as it gives me a relaxing effect.
This is how Queen C kept her face firm and toned. She applied White Clay mask for 5-10 minutes. The results clear pores and soft skin. Always follow up with a hydrating moisturizer as clay masks tend to dry the skin. She followed this with a natural homemade rosewater face toner that she put into a bottle to constantly spray her face during the day. She also used apple cider vinegar as a toner which is one of her beauty secrets to youthful glowing skin that is still being used in many organic products until today.
We all know beautiful Cleopatra would never forget her eye area, so why should we? This part of the face is crucial as it gives away your age right away. Let’s learn to keep it youthful using her methods. She simply mixed hemp and celery oil to keep her eye area looking bright and youthful. Or you can stick with cucumbers as they will also do the job when you’re in a hurry and on the go!
I’ve tried everything that Queen C did and I did get soft baby skin after the milk bath, the salt scrub I still use until today and the toner I’m sure the apple cider is very beneficial but I love the smell of rose so I use the rose water toner. Although I never get my complete 8 hours of beauty sleep anymore with being a new mom, I still found ways to maintain my skincare routine throughout the day. They may not be like Queen C’s skin care regimen, but for sure I wash my face am/pm daily, I follow with my rose water toner and I use a daily moisturizer and eye cream. Now that you learned beautiful Queen Cleopatra’s beauty secrets choose a few that you can maintain throughout your weekly beauty routines.
